Friends,
As I look out my office window, the grass is getting green, the sun is shining, and warmer days are more frequent. After a hard year, the anticipation of Crooked Creek Wild, summer camp, and hosting guest groups feels extra special and exciting.
Every spring we gather with other camps within the Mennonite Camping Association. This year, during one of my virtual meetings, connecting with my fellow camp executive directors, we were asked to reflect on the past year with the passage from Romans 8:28 “All things work together for good, for those who love God” It was fun to hear from the other directors about the ways in which God was working over this last year through such a challenging and unusual time.
As I continued to reflect on Romans 8:28 throughout the days following, I have thought about the ways in which I have seen all things working together for good here at Crooked Creek this past year. I have seen it in the committed, hardworking staff as they adapted to the ebbs and flows of this last year while still remaining positive, the extra financial gifts from churches, Sunday school classes, and individuals, and the encouraging notes and prayers from those who care so deeply for Crooked Creek Christian Camp.
As I can begin to see the light at the end of this pandemic tunnel, I am encouraged by the fact that God is faithful and God will continue to be faithful.
Friends, if you donated, volunteered, supported us in our online auction, bought breakfast casseroles, asked us how we are doing at camp, or prayed for us over this last year, THANK YOU, we wouldn’t be who we are without you.
I look forward to seeing you all at camp again soon!
With love,
Heather Bender
Executive Director

Program Updates:
Summer Camp!
We're so excited to be able to host summer camp this year. With so many cancellations and disappointments last year we can't wait to have campers back.
To register and for more information visit our website by clicking here!
Covid-19 Information:
We want to make camp as safe as possible for all. We will be operating at 50% capacity for overnight camp. With a reduced number of overnight campers, a day camp option has been added to give more opportunity for kids to come to camp or for those who do not feel comfortable staying over night (see below for day camp hours). Campers must choose between overnight camp or day camp. Campers will not be able to switch between day camp and overnight camp. All campers must be willing to follow mask wearing guidelines set up by the camp.
Other Precautions:
-Frequent surface cleaning in high traffic areas: Cabins, bathrooms, or any indoor space
-All activities will be outside or in our well ventilated activity center
-Hand sanitizer in all cabins
Can't wait to see you all soon!

Upcoming Programs:
Crooked Creek Wild: May 1, 2021
Click here for information and to register!
We are excited to use the natural landscape of camp and host our 4th annual challenge-course run! Participants will experience the “wilds” of Crooked Creek as they climb through mud, cross the creek and encounter several obstacles--some handmade, some natural and all a blast! To encourage families to join the fun, a junior course will be available! A free-will donation lunch will follow the event.
The purpose of Crooked Creek Wild is to raise money for the Summer Camp Fund which will
provide funds for:
1. Families who may not otherwise be able to
afford the cost of camp.
2. Summer staff stipends
3. Special summer camp activities.
