Still doing ministry online?
While some areas of the world are slowly reopening, there are still many places not quite there yet. This makes ministry incredibly difficult. Here is a creative way to introduce children to missions – and really, this is something online ministry has made possible for us to do, so it’s a positive amidst a lot of negative!

Missionary on Zoom
Invite your class to join you for a special Zoom call. Not familiar with Zoom? It is a video calling site that allows you to video call with many people simultaneously. It is free and used internationally. Set up a Zoom account (at zoom.us) and follow the instructions to host a meeting. Send the link to the parents of the kids in your class so they can know when and how to join you.
For this particular call, coordinate with a missionary to join you! Prepare beforehand questions you’d like them to answer and send them in advance so the missionary can be ready. Use this time to introduce the class to their missionary, and vice versa. Give the missionary a chance to share about what they do, where they live, and how the children can be involved. Kids can ask questions live (Zoom even has a “raise hand” feature so you know who would like to speak next) and the missionary can show videos and share pictures over Zoom as well.
