I can hardly believe that it is April of 2021 and the sad fact that this is my last note to you all as President.
There is so much to say and so little room, so I will keep this brief.
It has been a great and crazy ride. Who knew 2 years ago that life as we knew it would be changed so dramatically. An enormous credit goes out to each and every one of you for facing extreme challenges, due to an unprecedented pandemic, that forced you all to pivot and innovate in all aspects of you lives. It is because of you, your strength and tenacity that the Phoenix Alumnae Panhellenic Association was able to continue to make strides forward.
If you were ever in doubt that all we did were Zoom meetings since last April, here are some of the highlights from the past year of the things that we all accomplished together:
Celebrated our Centennial Year with a successful and innovative virtual fundraising event.
Restated our Bylaws & Standing Rules allowing us to look towards our future and become a more secure and steady organization.
Restructured our Executive Board with an election cycle and a new Member-at-Large position.
Offered programming, training and support to our Council members and their individual organizations through the creation of our Engagement Committee.
Created fun and exciting fundraising events like our Giving Week, BINGO Night, Shopping for a Cause event and our upcoming Non-Event Fundraiser.
Held a virtual Celebration of Charity event and continuing to help and support A Mighty Change of Heart.
Held monthly Happy ½ Hours hosted by each of our organizations to help us stay connected.
Hosted a successful virtual scholarship night with all of our Arizona universities to help our applicants.
Maintained our strong presence at the WMPO by continuing to volunteer during the pandemic.
Made sure that our scholarship program is financially secure by creating a 3-year plan.
Created a committee designated to cataloguing maintaining our rich history.
Continued our social media presence.
Passed 2 budgets.
You all should be proud of the work that you put in to make these accomplishments happen.
As I look back on my 5 years on the Phoenix Alumnae Panhellenic Association Executive Board, I want to thank all of the women that served on Council and have touched my life. You have all made an impact on my life and as a leader. Without all of you, the Phoenix Alumnae Panhellenic Association would not be where it is today. I hope that you never forget how amazing you all are and if this past year tells us anything, it reinforces that we are strong, resilient, empowered women that are capable of anything.
I want you all to know that I have thoroughly enjoyed my tenure as your President. I was honored and humbled to serve you for a second term during the COVID-19 pandemic. Thank you for your trust to help guide us through unchartered territory. I look forward to watching new leaders grow and this great organization continue to flourish.
Here is to continuing to INSPIRE, EMPOWER & ENRICH women from our past, our present and our future!
Always Panhellenically Yours,
Cheryl Lynn Klock McNeill

SUCCESSFUL WASTE MANAGEMENT PHOENIX OPEN FUNDRAISING
Despite the challenges posed by this year's Waste Management Phoenix Open fundraising efforts due to COVID-19 precautions and a smaller event, the Association was still able to raise $12,694.60 and provided 35% of the event's volunteer shifts! The Association also raised $1,760 dollars through the Giving Week initiatives. Thank you to everyone for your support and participation.
THANK YOU FOR PARTICIPATING IN THE JAVA SIPS FOR SCHOLARSHIPS EVENT
Our Java Sips for Scholarships event was held on February 10th. Phoenix Panhellenic Association council members were available during this virtual Q&A open house to answer any questions on the Phoenix Panhellenic and NPC scholarships. We had attendance from Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University and the University of Arizona.
ANNOUNCING THE NON-EVENT FUNDRAISER
It is with heavy heart that we announce there will not be a Celebration of Sisterhood Luncheon this spring due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
In lieu of getting together we are inviting everyone to participate in our on-line NON-EVENT FUNdraiser!
We plan on coming back strong in 2022 so get ready!
