Welcome to a new season, with Easter, school holidays, National Youth Week and more are upon us. April is a month where children are even more so a priority!
In 2021, it also marks the celebration of our 11th year of Starwin! Our recent community newsletter celebrated some of the recent successes of our collective (suppliers) - take a read here.
As always, we are looking to do business better and strengthen our collective success. We have just shared our 2021 Vision: The Power of One and welcome your feedback. Please take a moment to read it here.
As part of this vision, our Darwin shopfront was revitalised in January this year, and we are now promoting our Share Space and welcome you to book in to use our space to work from, hold meetings and host workshops - find out more here.
This means we can now also grow our Artist in Residence initiative - if this is something that interests you, please get in touch.
We are grateful to Aly de Groot, Rachel Baker and the Wanantunga Strong Womens Group who have all hosted events so far to help us celebrate the Share Space.
A huge shout out and thank you also to Nickie White Creative and Kreative Karina who have done a mountain of work as part of our BC+ Initiative to give our top end suppliers access to support to grow their digital confidence. You can read the amazing testimonial from Bron Clee on our homepage.
Our team is renewed; Sharna Phillips has stepped in and joined our team of workers and we welcome back Kyemma, both leading the way for our Darwin store - read Sharna's story here. We are proud to continue to offer Career Pathways for young Indigenous women entering the workforce and mentoring them to step up. The amazing Sharniqua who has now relocated to Sydney to study Fashion & Design at UTS. This week we investing in flying her back north for her uni break, so she is up in Port Douglas, gaining more work experience and completing her assignments.
We also welcome so inspiring women to our collective as Makers & Kreators and we look forward to having some fabulous new collaborations to celebrate - keep connected on our facebook and instagram and please share these stories too! You can follow us @ starwincollective

Higher Attire for Young Stars is an initiative we founded in 2017 (in collaboration with former Darwin enterprise Higher Attire) to address a community need.
We invite our customers and connections to 'gift' dresses to be collected by schools, community groups and young women attending graduations, awards nights and formal functions to celebrate their success.
Since it's launch we have received donations from all across Australia, and thanks to the generosity of our community, we have gifted well over 150 dresses to schools, young women, youth groups & family members.
Our collection is based in Darwin, but as we have grown we have also supported schools across the north too, like the Cape York Girl Academy in far north Queensland. We are honoured to be helping these young women shine like the stars that they are & we congratulate all of them on achieving a higher education and/or their life goals and doing themselves, family & community proud!
In 2021, we welcome more schools & community groups to connect with Starwin to make use of this service.
