April is Stress Awareness Month, so we'll be sharing resources and news related to stress management and mental health over the next few weeks. 

In event news, our State of the Science Conference is right around the corner. It will be held online from April 13th - 15th. We are nearing capacity on the number of attendees, so don't delay to register. Registration closes TODAY, April 7th, at 5 pm Pacific Time.

ADA Live! Let’s Dig In: The ADA, Accessible Farming, and Gardening [PODCAST]

On this episode of ADA Live! we’ll be digging into the topic of the ADA, accessible farming and gardening with our guest, Paul Jones, Manager of the Breaking New Ground (BNG) Resource Center and the National AgrAbility Project located at Purdue University. Please join us as we learn about the important work of AgrAbility, accessible agriculture, and relevant requirements under the ADA. Registration not required.

ADA National Network State of the Science Conference [ZOOM WEBINAR]

Each day the virtual conference will feature a keynote speaker and research presentations focusing on a unique theme. Day 1 will focus on Employment and Economic Self-Sufficiency, Day 2 will focus on Community Development and Planning, and Day 3 will focus on Access and Inclusion. Days will last approximately 4 hours and feature researchers from the ADA Regional Centers as well as external researchers.

Access to Federal Facilities and the Role of the General Services Administration (GSA) [ZOOM WEBINAR]

This session will explore the role of the General Services Administration (GSA) in ensuring the accessibility of buildings and facilities leased by the federal government. The Architectural Barriers Act (ABA) and the Rehabilitation Act apply to buildings funded by the federal government. Learn about the history and coverage of the ABA. Standards issued under the ABA provide minimum requirements for facilities or buildings newly leased by federal agencies.

ADA National Network 30th Anniversary Series: Spotlight on the ADA Trainer Leadership Network: Building Local Capacity for ADA Implementation [ZOOM WEBINAR]

This interactive session will provide an overview of the ADA Trainer Leadership Network (TLN). Participants will learn about how our diverse membership of vocational rehabilitation professionals, self-advocates, municipal representatives, healthcare educators, and others use a specifically designed, nationally vetted curriculum to provide training and guidance on disability inclusiveness. Join us for some fun and games, as you learn about the TLN, and how to become part of this ADA National Network initiative!
