Vale John Byrne
It is with great sadness that we record the passing of Tutor, John Byrne.
For some years John presented his course Composers and their Music at the Oxley Road church hall and then at our Sinclair Road campus.
He had been unwell for some time and died on 3 April - Easter Saturday. Once funeral arrangements are known, we will endeavor to advise past members of John's class.

Assistance Wanted
I am looking for people willing to assist me to support tutors and presenters of short courses. This may involve welcoming, introducing and thanking tutor/presenters, making sure there is a roll in the room, setting up the room as required, AV support, packing up after the session (lights, A/C, restoring required room setup, drawing blinds).
This is not an onerous task, especially if you are planning to attend the course anyway, but it means that office volunteers do not have to be present for each session.
If you are willing to volunteer for this, please contact Carol Lancashire – courses@u3ahawthorn.org.au.
Training will be provided.

A New Venue!
Robinson Road (Hawthorn Velodrome) Pavilion
From the beginning of Term 2, courses which were held in the Eric Raven Pavilion will move to the Robinson Road Pavilion (at the end of Robinson Road in Hawthorn, adjacent to the Velodrome). Additional courses will also be timetabled in this new venue.
We are very appreciative of the support of the City of Boroondara in providing these facilities for us to use, in addition to the Frog Hollow pavilion which is being used for mahjong, bridge, some music and book groups and art and patchwork/quilting classes.
A location map is provided on our website https://u3ahawthorn.org.au/locations.htm
