Thursday 22nd April, 7.30-9 pm: Skye Climate Action's Scottish Parliament election 2021 HUSTINGS

So far, candidates from the SNP, Labour, Lib Dem, Green and Alba parties standing in the Skye, Lochaber and Badenoch constituency have agreed to attend our hustings event. In light of ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, the hustings will take place online.

This event will be free to attend; please register through the Eventbrite link.
Once you register for the event, you will be sent a link to the Zoom meeting.

Call for questions
We are calling for submissions of questions regarding party policies from anyone in the Skye, Lochaber and Badenoch constituency and the Highland s and Islands regional list area,  in advance of the event. Please focus your questions around the candidates' policies and please submit questions by Tuesday 13 April at the latest to trish@skyeclimateaction.org. We are particularly interested in policies on Climate Action.

Please note that for the sake of time management, we may combine questions on similar themes and may not be able to put everybody's question to the candidates.

Monday 26th April  7.30-9pm: Inspiring sustainability projects on Skye

This is the first of a series of monthly Pop-up meetings on a range of topics relevant to climate action.

Zoom in to hear from
Tracy Keenan (Broadford Forest School), Matt Harrison (ACE Academy), and Heather Fulton (Atlas Arts). We anticipate stimulating discussion.

Each of our speakers will give a presentation on their project(s). There will then be an opportunity to ask questions and to have a general discussion about sustainability. Again, this is fairly informal and we encourage people to join in with their ideas, but it is also fine to watch and listen without saying anything. Come along and be inspired!

Contact anne@skyeclimateaction.org for more details and for the Zoom link.

Reminder about Electrical Amnesty!  - our new trial scheme for unwanted domestic electrical appliances in South Skye. The first collection is on Wednesday 28th April. Drop off your items at Ashaig Campsite between 11 am and 1 pm.
