Children's Mental Health Week: May 3 - 9

From May 3 to 9, let’s #GetReal about how we feel for Mental Health Week (MHW).

The COVID-19 pandemic has created a time of unprecedented stress and anxiety, with feelings of social isolation, fear and uncertainty on the rise. In a recent study, the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) found that 40% of Canadians are reporting deteriorated mental health since the onset of the pandemic.

We encourage you to begin or continue the dialogue around mental health with your family, and to participate in the conversation online using the hashtags #GetReal and #ResilientWeGrow. Be sure to tag us on TwitterInstagramFacebook and LinkedIn

JOIN OUR COVID-19 RESPONSE

Children with learning disabilities and mental health issues (LDMH) face invisible barriers to learning and living each day.

The silent mental health pandemic rippling dangerously across Canada is now placing these children at the highest risk of worsening mental health symptoms.

Children with LDMH need a lifeline to navigate online learning challenges, inconsistent daily routines and a reduction in socialization and supports brought on by COVID-19.

The time to act is now. Donate today to help support children and youth at heightened risk during this crisis. Your gift will provide children with LDMH a chance to thrive, make friends and build life-long skills.
