These are just a phonetic sampling of over 250 languages in every country of the world where the Christian faith is practiced.  Over two billion believers declare together that Christ is Risen, a confession central and essential to our common faith.

As we celebrate the season of Easter, this is a reminder that our faith is global phenomenon that grew out of a rag tag band of 1st century Palestinians following a charismatic and brilliant young rabbi who was revealed as the Son of God.

Each time we gather for worship, share the creed, participate in communion and are sent back out into God’s world, we do so with that community across the planet.

This Easter season, let it be our prayer that all of us together will strive to practice more diligently and proclaim more urgently that the God who is revealed in hope, mercy, justice, grace and forgiveness is afoot among us, and that this truth would guide each of our days, our decisions, and our relationships.  If we did so, I bet we could change the world.

Christ is Risen!  He is Risen, Indeed!

Peace,
Pastor Bob
