Penn Global Student Citizenship Award: Deadline Extended!

 

Apply by April  11 


All international students who graduated in December 2020 or will be graduating in Spring or Summer 2021 are invited to apply by April 11 for the Penn Global Student Citizenship Award. This award recognizes exceptional graduating international students who have demonstrated a commitment to bringing the world to Penn and promoting global citizenship at the University. One winner and one honorable mention will be selected for both the undergraduate and graduate student levels, along with several finalists. Start your application today!

Each Spring semester, ISSS features graduating international students on social media to celebrate their unique backgrounds, personalities and accomplishments and to spotlight the diversity of Penn's international community. You are eligible to be featured if you graduated in Fall 2020 or will graduate in Spring or Summer 2021. We will begin featuring this year's graduating #GlobalQuakers on social media during the first week of May.

Free Chinatown Bus Charter

PAACH, GAPSA, and UA: Free Chinatown Bus Charter

Saturdays 1:00-4:00PM ET through May 1, 2021

Pan-Asian American Community House (PAACH) in partnership with Undergraduate Assembly (UA) and Graduate and Professional Student Assembly (GAPSA) are providing free charter bus service to and from Chinatown for Penn faculty, post-docs, staff and students! The charter bus will operate Saturdays from 1:00–4:00 beginning April 10 through May 1.

This new prize aims to spotlight the most robust and insightful undergraduate writing and analysis on how policy can address contemporary challenges. Each winner will receive a $1,000 award, publication of their essay on the Perry World House website and promotion on PWH social media channels, and exclusive access to PWH events and visitors during the subsequent acadmeic year.

GSC + GAPSA: Pop-Up Food Pantry

Friday, April 9, 4-6PM | Saturday, April 10, 10AM-12PM


The Grad Center is partnering with GAPSA for an upcoming pop-up food pantry for graduate and professional students experiencing food insecurity. Prepackaged bags of shelf staples and fresh essentials will be distributed on the Graduate Student Center patio on Friday, April 9th from 4-6 PM and Saturday, April 10th from 10 AM - 12 PM. Proof of need is not required, but green passes, Penn IDs, and consent to any necessary contact tracing after the event will be required.

Stress Less with Yoga is an experiential workshop series involving evidence-based yoga and mindful movement techniques to help reduce stress and manage anxiety. The exercises are gentle, with an emphasis on feeling safe and having choices.
