Happy Easter, dear Friend

As always, thanks for taking these few minutes to catch up on important news from the Pacific Mountain Regional Council Office. Note that today's Townhall is paused, and we gather again on Wednesday April 21 For Affirming Process updates from the committee,  and then again on May 5, marking the important REDress Day -- returning to our usual first and third Wednesday of the month.

We'd like you to meet Daniel Martin, the regional council staff Campus Ministry Animator!, and we'd also like to share another enthusiastic push for folks to join the Campus Ministry Advisory Committee!

Warmly,
Tressa Brotsky

INTRODUCING CAMPUS MINISTRY ANIMATOR Daniel Martin!

Some Stats:

And a Little Bit More:
Thank you for welcoming this Californian into your United Church of Canada family! I’m originally from Sacramento CA and settled in Vancouver BC in the summer of 2019 to attend Vancouver School of Theology. I enjoy strong Triple IPAs, perfectly roasted coffee, talking long walks in the Vancouver rain, taking long naps after said long walks, and occasionally playing Disc Golf with bad form and no skill.

I’m excited to serve the region’s campus ministry—having worked with children, youth, and young adults for the past fifteen years, I love watching and walking with them as they grow into and wrestle with their faith and journey with Jesus. It’s pure joy to get to know the region, ask deep questions, learn about successes and failures, and dream together as to how we can best care for our students as they make their way through college and beyond.
An image of four people sitting around a campfire that lights up their faces in the dark. Three have guitars and one is taking a photo of the fire. It's a cosy and comforting image of time shared well together. Taken pre-covid, no masks
This is a special and specific ask from the Nominations committee to those with a passion for ministry with Young Adults - the Campus Ministry Advisory Committee is still seeking new members! Details are below, and if you feel called to serve our church in this way, please do put your name forward.
