We want to hear from you!
The Community Hub project has partnered with Garden Cities to develop the landscape around the Community Hub and project possibilities for the Kitchen. Learn more about Garden Cities here:  https://gardencities.ca

The goal is to have the landscape 'feed' the community and create a space that the community (including Visions United) can both help and enjoy the benefits.
This is very different from simply community garden plots, but rather an integrated 'edible' landscape.

We would like you, as part of our Visions congregation, to fill out the survey: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd_hCekUGsH8-oMzy1bjvJUhnGhre11D9WC1z9pYSONhMJ3WQ/viewform?usp=sf_link

The survey will help Garden Cities plan and design the landscape.

On Tuesday over 80 people showed up from the community for a drop by info session and to fill out the survey.

Let's add our voices!

Vision Aiders Moment: Your VA Dollars at Work!
Karing Kitchen: Vision Aiders wishes to inform you we have set up a Karing Kitchen account which the church office will now monitor. Going forward, when you make a donation to KK, you will receive a receipt from Visions United at year end rather than receiving a charitable receipt directly from the Karing Kitchen. Donations can be forwarded to the church office at your convenience. These donations will be submitted to KK on a quarterly basis.  For the first quarter of 2021, $250 was sent to the Karing Kitchen.

Salvus Clinic: Vision Aiders recently gave a $300 donation to the Salvus Clinic from our VA Funds.  The clinic's objective is to provide access to Primary Health Care to those within our area suffering with issues relating to homelessness, poverty, mental health and substance use. The Salvus Clinic treats the whole person. Their office is located at the Peace Centre on Church Street.

Donation Request
Hello everyone. Hopefully by now you know that a Syrian family (mother with 4 daughters, ages 7 to 14) will be arriving in Moncton on April 16th. The family will be in quarantine in their apartment for 14 days. While we have several games and puzzles for the girls, we do not have any colouring books or crayons/coloured pencils.  If you are willing to donate colouring books and/or crayons, please contact Claudia at claudiaschaerer@hotmail.com, or phone: 389-4320.

The family will also need some basic tools – hammer, screwdriver with multiple tips, wrench, needle-nose pliers, vice-grip, measuring tape, small jar of assorted screws and nails – preferably in a plastic carrying tray or small toolbox. If you are downsizing and have a few extra tools, please consider donating them by contacting Claudia.  Many thanks!
