Share Your Thoughts on Reimagine Plainfield Draft Plan
Community members can provide feedback on the newly released Reimagine Plainfield draft plan during webinars April 14 and April 21.
The webinars are set for noon and 7 p.m., and registration is required here. Attendees can provide input on the proposed plan and ask questions to Township staff. Questions and feedback also can be submitted by email to contact@plainfieldmi.org.

Get Paid to Be Part of PFAS Research
Township residents with private wells may be eligible to get paid to participate in the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services’ new study on PFAS exposure and immune response to COVID-19 vaccines.
The study will help contribute to scientific knowledge about how people's immune systems respond to COVID-19 vaccines with certain PFAS blood levels.

Versluis Park Closed This Month for Maintenance
Versluis Park is closed this month for maintenance to prepare the park for beach season.
In addition to general park cleanup, the Township’s Buildings and Grounds staff will clean and inspect playground equipment, prepare volleyball courts, inspect and, if needed, repair the boardwalk structure and clean the restrooms to get the park ready for the upcoming season.

Kent County Offers Financial Assistance for Home Repairs
Did you know Kent County has a home rehabilitation program to help low- and moderate-income households make large essential home repairs?
The program applies to homes in Kent County to address code violations, health and safety issues, roof replacements, plumbing repairs, furnace installations and much more. Emergency funds are also available when health and safety issues must be immediately addressed.

The home rehabilitation program is funded with grant funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Coming up at Kent District Library
The Plainfield Township branch of the Kent District Library will host a robotics demonstration event 1-4 p.m. Saturday, April 10.
The event will feature robots, science demonstrations and interactive projects for children interested in science, technology, engineering, arts and math. Kids can learn about local resources and opportunities to enhance their interest in these fields. The library is at 2650 Five Mile Road NE.
The program will be outside – weather permitting – and face coverings and physical distancing will be required. Activity stations will also be sanitized frequently.
