Still Time to Register: NHSDC Spring 2021 Virtual Conference – April 12–29, 2021

The National Human Services Data Consortium (NHSDC) is a collaborative organization that understands the importance of data quality and the value of using valid and reliable data for community planning and performance measurement. NHSDC has worked for over 14 years to deliver conferences that allow Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) professionals to share ideas, current challenges, and best practices while developing a critical network of peer support.

Registration is still open to attend the NHSDC Spring Conference! This virtual conference will run from April 12–29, 2021 with the theme of “A Year of Crisis – Using Human Services Data to Recover from the Pandemic.” Check out the conference agenda!

Throughout the three weeks, the conference will provide meaningful plenaries, sessions, labs, and networking opportunities. HUD will partner with NHSDC to offer sessions focused on the CARES Act and key topics and issues featured in the SNAPS Data TA Strategy. HUD strongly encourages Continuum of Care (CoC) and HMIS leaders and staff to review this strategy and integrate its vision and goals into their local work.

HMIS Fundamentals Certificate of Completion

HUD will also be offering an HMIS Fundamentals Certificate of Completion during the conference. Participants must attend four of the following six sessions to receive the certificate:

  • Achieving a Quality and Stable HMIS Staffing Pattern
  • Implementing Effective Contract Negotiation and Relationship Management Strategies 101
  • HMIS Project Set-up 201
  • HMIS Project Management and Annual Calendar of Expectations
  • HMIS Governance 101
  • Improving your Training Curriculum and Delivery

In order to receive your certificate please fill out the NHSDC post-conference survey and indicate which sessions you attended.

As in the past, this virtual conference is HUD approved. Therefore, HMIS funds awarded under the CoC and Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) Programs may be used to attend the conference. Projects without funds designated for HMIS can use admin funds to attend this event. Special Note: ESG-CV funds awarded under the CARES Act may be used for the NHSDC Conference, following all the requirements in the ESG Notice.
