Submit your best photos for the JHWS Photo Contest!

The Northern Rockies Conservation Cooperative invites photographers to participate in our first Human-Wildlife Coexistence Photography Contest, to accompany the 2021 Jackson Hole Wildlife Symposium. NRCC hopes to showcase the work of talented amateur photographers in and around the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Students are welcome!

The theme for this contest is Human-Wildlife Coexistence. We invite photographers to submit work that captures the essence of what it means for humans to live within the natural world and how nature reflects the influence of our human communities.
In this watershed moment, when what it means to live in the natural world is fundamentally changing, we ask photographers to imagine the many ways that humans and wildlife are intricately tied together in this special region.

What does your relationship with nature look like? How do you observe both human and natural processes? In what ways do you see social and ecological issues coincide? Be creative! We’re excited to explore these themes through your photography.

Please submit entries to jhws@nrccooperative.org before April 30, 2021.

Call for Research & Projects

NRCC would like to invite researchers and community members to submit papers or project abstracts on the topic of human-wildlife coexistence. We welcome any work in the areas of science, management, conservation, education, or policy situated in Jackson Hole or the GYE.

Please submit a written overview of the research (approx. 400 words) along with the author, organization, title, a short bio, and 2-3 photos to jhws@nrccooperative.org. We encourage you to include multimedia content and links to other sites for readers to learn more about how this work is furthering human-wildlife coexistence.

Please send us your submissions by April 30, 2021 and you will be notified about the status of your abstracts by May 4, 2021. Accepted submissions will be posted on the virtual JHWS webpage. Edits may be suggested by the review committee. Please send questions to Executive Director, Ben Williamson at ben@nrccooperative.org.
