Mindful Screentime

The critical skill of the 21st century
Tuesday, April 13th, 6:30 - 8:00 pm

Screen time is a battleground for most families.  With pandemic dictated social distancing, online school, video games, endless chats, and Netflix binges have filled the gap but increased conflicts over how much screen time is too much.  Unfortunately, so much parenting advice around screen time is about limits and restrictions, which have conflicted with current realities.

In this session, Arcadia Kim, mother of three, Founder of Infinite Screentime, and former senior executive in the video game industry, will unpack why we feel so much guilt around screen time use and suggest ways to shift the conversation from limits to connection.  Referencing important research and case studies, she will cast a new perspective on screen time management and provide insights on how to shift the conversation from shame to opportunity by unraveling conventions and offering families a fresh perspective.

You will come away from this session with a valuable cheat sheet for your family to explore a new set of screen time principles.

This Roundtable is appropriate for parents of school age children 9+ and teenagers.
