Happy Monday! This week is a busy week in local government meetings and it kicks off budget season for counties and towns across Western North Carolina. Macon County Commissioners meet Tuesday for their monthly meeting, which includes several items in addition to budget talks. The Town of Franklin continued their April meeting from last week and will also be meeting Tuesday to focus on budget planning.
Students in North Carolina may be spending some extra time in the classroom the summer after the North Carolina General Assembly approved House Bill 82, Summer Learning Choice for NC Families last week.
