Dear all...

This coming weekend I have a Sunday off(!) - it's one of nine Sundays that I'm expected to take "off" each year. As you know, since we had to begin holding services "virtually" last March, I have tended to make sure that, when I have had a Sunday off, I've always posted something online for people to watch, even though I wasn't going to be "around" on that day...well, as I hope you remember from last Sunday's service, this coming weekend I am going to take the opportunity to put nothing online...because, from now on, we are able once again to gather together with a handful of others (up to six people, or from two households), outdoors, whilst observing social distancing guidelines. So this seems like great timing for me to suggest that we all arrange, between ourselves, to meet up with a few others from Colwell Baptist Church, for informal times of fellowship and prayer together.

Instead of us being one church in many homes, this Sunday we can be one church in several gardens...or out on several walks, or sitting on a few different beaches! It doesn't have to be anything "religious" or formal...why not just start by saying together, "the Lord if here; His Spirit is with us"...and then sharing a time of fellowship together and perhaps some prayer as well if you're super-keen.

One more thing...if at all possible, I would LOVE to see where and how you choose to be church this coming Sunday. Please do snap a photo of yourselves and send it to me so that we can show it the following Sunday during our YouTube "service" as an encouragement to everyone else. I really do hope that we're all up for this idea...let's not stop meeting together...let's continue to do so as much as we can, and in whatever way we're able, to encourage one another and spur each other on. (see Heb 10,24-25)
