Dear Friends,
When Jesus appears after the Resurrection, the first word is PEACE and and the first action is pointing to his wounds. On this Divine Mercy Sunday, both word and action give wonderful witness that the divine plan for broken humanity is mercy.
How can we not acknowledge after the kind of year we have had that healing mercy is absolutely necessary, not only in the many ways we need to be healed, but also in the many ways we are called to be healers. The great spiritual writer Henri Nouwen wrote a powerful book called The Wounded Healer, a wonderful challenge to all of us, wounded each in our own way, but empowered by Christ to bring amazing healing.
Have a blessed healing week—both in word and action.

Video Mass for Sunday, April 11th. Here is the recorded Mass for this upcoming Sunday (Divine Mercy Sunday). We provide a worship aid to help you better enter into the prayer of the Mass. Please know that we will continue these recorded Masses indefinitely. We are so grateful to DV Productions, our Liturgists Mary Robertson and Meggie Moyer, and our cantor Amy Sobczak for their efforts in making our prayer as beautiful as possible.
Return of 7 am Daily Mass & Full Weekend Mass Schedule. We are pleased to announce that beginning on Saturday, April 10th, we will again offer our 4:30 pm Saturday Vigil Mass at Old St. Mary and our 5 pm Vigil Mass (with Confessions beforehand at 4 pm) at Saints Peter and Paul. We kindly ask you to continue to register for weekend Masses and to observe the COVID protocols in place. Beginning on Monday, April 12th, we will again be offering our 7 am Daily Mass at Old St. Mary Monday-Friday each week. Links to the Mass times and registration pages of the parish website are included every week at the bottom of this newsletter.
Last Call for Lenten Almsgiving. Family of Four parishes, you have been giving so generously to this year’s Lenten almsgiving campaign. Thank you. If you haven’t yet had a chance to give, it’s not too late to help lay the foundation to provide the “Possibility of Encounter” at the new Archdiocesan Ministry Center at All Saints. Please give generously by writing a check to your parish and including “Lenten Almsgiving” in the memo line. Thank you!
