Hello, <<First Name>>

Quick one today.

Things to do, people to see, week's break to enjoy.

I finally finished Rabbit, Run this afternoon. Not a book you can enjoy a few pages at a time, but I found myself on the edge of my seat as I rifled through the last 100 pages.

On to Morgan Housel's The Psychology of Money, for a change of pace.

I swithered about sending this email, but such is the quality of the various articles and blog posts I've read this week, it seemed a shame not to.

And once you're on a good streak, best to keep it going eh?

I do hope you enjoy the links as much as I've enjoyed reading what's underneath them.

Cheers

I Fancy a 1-2-1 Consultation With This Guy, So Enthralling Are His Digressions
#1 No More Years: I FIRE’d Work...

The Accumulator hangs up his brogues.

The people that beat the market, by Banker on FIRE.

The Escape Artist takes one step at a time.

A Q1 review by Luke and Albert at Telescope Investing. Not as bad as they feared. In fact, not too shabby at all.

Matt Levine on Archegos, followed up by another good one today.

More on Archegos.

And those losses. Of the big banks, Credit Suisse's put Barings in the shade. The message of this story seems to be if you're going to act, act big and first, like the Americans, not the Swiss.

Space: the last frontier of investing.

It is exceedingly hard to kill the stock market.

#2 A Not Boring Adventure, One Year In...

This guy started a new newsletter a year ago. Here's how he did it. I mentioned him in the last edition. He's doing something really special and new here.

And here's one of his posts, which just dropped into my email inbox today. Fascinating, if you like long-reads about tech companies, that is, which I do.

Interesting development.

The wannabe food influencer who's wanted by the FBI.

Digital PR. I have to admit I was one of the 200,000.

#3 Four-Time Obstacle Race Champion Amelia Boone on Mastering the Art of Suffering...

V. good.

64-year-old retiree who left the U.S. for Mexico: 7 downsides of living in a beach town for $1,200 per month. This is a lot better than it sounds.

Tracking happiness.

More on happiness (excellent).

#4 Subaru Has Designed a Flying Motorcycle...

Oh yes it has.

A sensational six bonus posts this week for your delight and delectation.

Here goes.

I hope some of you find this useful and most of you don't suffer from it.

Hadn't thought of this. Kind of makes sense but really?!

Not for the faint of heart.

Could this be a threat to bitcoin et al? Certainly will be if the US follows suit.

Brazil. You deserve better than this.

China, Greenland, electric vehicles and 56,000 people vs 1.4bn.

Right, that's all folks. I'm off to...watch my eldest play football then Skype a mate. Actually, Zoom a mate. Actually, to be completely accurate, Google Hangouts a mate.

Have a great weekend. Enjoy yourself.

Tootle pip.
