say yes...

I'm nearing the end of a certification process - which really is like saying I'm about to finish a chapter in the middle of a very long book because in actuality, any training or study is a lifelong practice that will deepen and widen over time. I mention it because my understanding of this story of Kai's has shifted.

It means something quite different to me now than the first time I saw it years ago.

It's not about a binary this or that - Yes or No - Positive or Negative - but rather truthfully coming into full agreement with a choice. Different parts of your brain light up when you frame something positively versus negatively - and - the body senses a lie. Even to your self.

If we say something we're not fully behind, or attempt a physiological impossibility, this will result in tension somewhere in the body. It's fabulous design, really. A safety catch on our authenticity.

And so to me, this story is more than saying yes to something new or being positive in challenging times - it's about coming into truthful alignment with anything I commit to. Which might mean I need to reframe it or I might realize in the process of this that I'm really saying yes to something else...

There are stories we think we know... until we see them in a whole new light.

always in motion,
fia

P.S. 'say yes' is available in all sorts of ways... if you'd like to take a look, click here...

P.P.S. Just a reminder we're pausing all wood orders on April 15th at 11pm (MST) - so we have time to do a deep clean & pack up this part of the studio... We're hoping to have them available to order again by early July, but of course we'll keep you posted.

We'll still take orders for prints, notecards & books until right before we move. We'll give a cut off date later for these (we're hoping that'll only be for a couple of weeks...)
