The NEH Summer Stipend program aims to stimulate new research in the humanities and its publication by supporting the work of individual scholars doing research or writing. Anyone can apply, as long as they are not a degree candidate at time of application.
Tenure-track and tenured faculty at UM need a campus nomination. Non-tenure track faculty can apply directly to the award competition.
For a campus nomination, please submit your application to the HI website by September 1. Up to two faculty can be nominated from UM.
Final application due: September 22, 2021
The award amount is $6,000.
