Happy April!

I hope you're all having a wonderful Spring and are starting to enjoy the easing of lockdown restrictions. Now that we're able to meet with friends outside, and the weather is improving gradually, I'm sure that a lot of people will be feeling an improvement in their wellbeing and mental health. Of course, if you're not this is perfectly normal too. More about mental health later on in the newsletter!

I wanted to personally thank everybody who attended or contributed to an event for LBT Women's Health Week. This was my first year organising and hosting the week and I was overwhelmed with all of the support and positive feedback that we received. I hope you enjoyed the week as much as I did!

LBT Women's Health Week Feedback

As mentioned above, we received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback for our LBT Women's Health Week events in March. We were so pleased to collaborate with such brilliant organisations and people to host these events and we're glad that they were successful in making people feel more knowledgeable and confident on LBT women's health issues.

Please see the below infographic for a more detailed breakdown of the feedback we received 👇

Mindfulness
May 21st • 10:00 am - 12:00 pm • FREE

We will explore a range of accessible practices, such as chair yoga, mindfulness, guided body relaxation (Yoga Nidra) and short meditations. We will look at how we can successfully incorporate exercise, mindfulness and relaxation practices into our busy lives.

Suicide Prevention

This course will consider risk factors and warning signs, how to talk about suicidal distress, safe planning and safeguarding. We will address our own needs for self-care around this emotive topic.
