Some Covid-19 Updates- Re-opening roadmap

Covid restrictions are easing from 12th April. 

The following are set to reopen from Monday 12 April:

  • All retail
  • Pubs, restaurants and cafes with outdoor seating only
  • Gyms and other indoor leisure (limited to household groups)
  • Hairdressers and other personal care businesses
  • Self-contained holiday accommodation, like cottages
  • Outdoor attractions like zoos and theme parks
  • Libraries and community centres



We have continued to approach started approaching local services and businesses about changes they will be making as restrictions ease over the coming weeks and months. If you are a local business and want to let us know any updates please contact us on chragroup@outlook.com. Thank you!

Work taken place in the last week?
Northwest Corner – Cherry Hinton Road / High Street
-No construction activities undertaken in this area as the work is complete except for footpath resurfacing and installation of the traffic signals equipment.
 
Southeast Corner – Queen Edith’s Way
-Place and compact subbase
-Lay kerbs and footpath edgings
 
Southeast Corner – Fulbourn Road
-Complete ducting and chambers.
-Continue subbase
-Continue kerbing and footpath edgings  
 
Significant Issues:
-Continue to resolve conflict with existing utility services and commence backfilling
-Pedestrian walkway to be reinstated as soon as possible in Queen Edith’s Way.
 
Work to be completed in the next week?
Northwest Corner – Cherry Hinton Road / High Street

-Complete sub-base, kerbing, carriageway and footpath construction to link Fulbourn Road with Queen Edith’s Way ready for binder course.
-Install sockets and tactile paving ready for traffic signals equipment
