The Geological Society of America will be hosting a webinar on geology licensure qualification requirements in the United States. Having a license to practice geology is a requirement in most states, and requires you to take two exams, called the ASBOG FG and PG Exams, plus work experience. Please join this webinar for more information about the purpose of the license, qualification requirements (education, experience, exams), and a discussion on the ASBOG® Practice of Geology (PG) exam, including when to sit for the exam, how to study, why being licensed is a great idea, and some advice for early career professionals.
Date and time: Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 11:00 am MDT.

Free Gift Card for Sharing Your Thoughts About Water
|
|
Tell us your views about water, and we’ll give you a $10 gift card to the WSU Bookstore and a gift card for lunch!
We need 8 to 15 College of Science students who are at least 18 years old, and have attended classes in person on the Ogden campus within the last 2 years, to participate in a focus group (group discussion) over Zoom for up to 1½ hours Wednesday, April 16 at 4:30 p.m.
You’ll be helping WSU students working on a research project: Sociology students are conducting research to examine beliefs, attitudes and perceptions about water, and water use at Weber State. We’re not looking for experts, we want to hear from all kinds of folks, no matter their background on water.
Interested? Please contact Breanna Child at breannachild@mail.weber.edu or Dr. Trentelman at carlatrentelman@weber.edu.
