Temporary asphalt in the middle of the roadway.
Throughout the corridor, you may notice temporary asphalt in the middle of the roadway and near crosswalks. The asphalt will be demolished and new curb ramps and a new roadway median will be installed in its place. Once these upgrades are installed, people driving should practice caution when navigating around these new extended curb bulbs along the corridor. The bulbs are painted yellow to make them easier to identify.
REMINDER: Businesses along the corridor are open during this work. Please follow posted detour signs as you visit these businesses.
At the City of Seattle, we are continuing to follow guidance from federal, state, and local leaders and our public health partners regarding COVID-19. To keep our crews and the public safe, we have required all contractors to submit updated jobsite Health and Safety Plans to ensure that they comply with the safety and social distancing requirements in the Governor’s Order.
