Good News! SDGA Legislative Initiatives

HB 243, 454 and 415  Municipal budgets transparency
These SDGA-initiated bills were consolidated under HB243.
PASSED the NH House of Representatives on April 9, 2021.
(Thank you Rep. Tony Piemonte for championing that important bill! SDGA Board member, Wayne Goertel, drafted these bills and worked diligently with Rep. Piemonte to get them passed.)

HB 206   Making Collective Bargaining Public
Unfortunately the news is not so good for our repeated effort to require public sector collective bargaining to be done in public. Failed in the NH House of Representatives April 8, 2021. (Thank you to Rep. Len Turcotte for a noble effort.)
