Hello travellers,

I've got one word to say to you: 'Trans-Tasman Bubble'.

AstraZeneca to you too!

News is just dropping that Australian  and state health authorities are issuing warnings and suspending use of the AstraZeneca vaccine pending scientific advice on blood clotting in first dose patients.

Just what we need - even more holdups in the delivery of vaccines to Australians!

What happened last week?

Well the best news was the official announcement of a Trans-Tasman Bubble requiring no quarantine for travellers between Australia and New Zealand, to commence on 19 April.

Air New Zealand and Qantas immediately ramped up their flights between Australia and New Zealand. New Zealand is re-opening international lounges, but Qantas is holding fire on their own international lounge announcement.

And, Alaska Airlines officially joined the OneWorld alliance which is great news for when we are allowed to fly internationally to the USA again.

What's coming up?

I'm heading off on my monthly trip to Adelaide next week.

If you haven't booked your New Zealand, NT or WA break for mid-year, then don't come crying to me if there is no accommodation left!

Until next week, mask up, keep your distance, and if you can - get vaccinated.

Stephen
