We heard your feedback!
One of Music Workshop's great strengths is the ability to change up and deliver refreshed content through our online portal. We heard valuable, and pertinent, feedback on a few updates requested for our Jazz course. We recently added new verbiage, materials and artists to make Jazz even more inspiring!
May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.
Our courses feature exciting and talented artists from a wide variety of backgrounds. Check out...Ryuichi Sakamoto (piano), Sunri Kawaguchi (Percussion), Sa and Si Wong (Woodwinds) and more...
Fortuitously, our next planned courses are additions to our Culture Series on Music from Asia which we are fundraising for during our Inspire Live event on May 23rd at 5pm PDT. We look to launch Music from Asia courses in 2022.
We love bringing you high-quality, culturally relevant music resources - free of charge! Now, there's even more reason to make Music Workshop a regular part of your music program. Each Feedback Form that you submit is now a raffle ticket. At the end of each month, we will pull a name from the Feedback that we received that month and that teacher will receive a $100 Amazon gift card. Each new month is a new chance to win!
Good luck!
Coming Soon - Music from Africa: Traditional
We have been working hard with our advisors on the new Music from Africa courses and are nearing completion on the first course, Music of Africa: Traditional. We will be showing previews of the course during our Inspire Live Virtual Launch Party on May 23rd at 5pm PDT. Our second course, Music from Africa: Contemporary is projected to launch in late fall 2021.

Inside Music Workshop

All Music Workshop course materials include a document called Sound Bites. It is a summary of the course contents and is meant for the students to take home to reinforce what they learned and share the music with their friends and family. Along with history, facts and examples given it also includes the names of the artists featured - making it easy for students to find any artists or music that were inspirational from the course. Some teachers tell us that they use the Sound Bites to introduce the course and prepare the students for what they are going to see and then send them home to share what they learned. We know that having Sound Bites as part of the Music Workshop lesson amplifies the inspiration!
Sound Bites is a vital part of
Music Workshop's goal to educate, inspire and motivate.
