The April 2021 issue of Light Metal Age has been released to digital subscribers and will be distributed to print subscribers next week.
Focusing on the aluminum extrusion industry, the April issue includes articles and interviews on increased demand for extrusions, Benkam Alu Extrusions' planned expansion of its operations, extrusion die design, and the use of aluminum profiles in newly designed applications, such as a Bridge in a Box and a radio concealment pole.
Additional articles look at aluminum cross members in automotive, managing operating costs in DC casthouses, and an introduction to aluminum anodizing.
The cover shows aluminum profiles coated using the sublimation process at Benkam Alu Extrusions in Uzbekistan. The company is currently launching a massive multi-year expansion project, which will increase its extrusion, surface finishing, and fabrication capacities.
