We are asking Prime Time ABF and Empty Nest ABF to attend our last 10am Chapel Gathering - that would be so helpful! 

We continue the series of Change My Mind as we learn about transformational thinking according to God’s Word.

FIVE WAYS TO GIVE
In response to God's generosity, and as a way to support many platforms of ministry and missions at Highland, we provide five ways to give: 1) Text giving at 254-220-4845  2) Give at the kiosks set up in the Lobby 3) Baskets and drop-boxes on Sundays 4) Set up recurring giving so your giving is planned and purposeful by clicking the button 5) Give through the HBC Waco app.

WELLNESS CENTER UPDATE
As we continue to move forward with the physical building, we also continue to move ahead with our current ministries. We still need to raise $236,089 to finish out the project. If the Lord puts it on your heart to give this week, would you consider doing so? We cannot wait to open the doors of this new building for ministry all around our neighborhood! NEW GATHERING SCHEDULE
 
Beginning Sunday, May 9, Highland will host Sunday Gatherings at 8:40 and 10am in the Life Center. We will also host a “Mask-Required” livestream in the Chapel at 8:40am. We will not be hosting a Gathering in the Chapel at 10am or in the Life Center at 11:20am. 
THE DEBT'S BEEN PAID FINAL NUMBER
 
Because of your generous giving, you raised $179,190.08 which eliminates 19.17 million dollars of medical debt for families in our city. 

We are excited for families to receive this gift and know that ultimately their eternal debt has been paid at the cross.
NEW MEMBER CLASS
 
If you are interested in knowing more about Highland and what it means to be a covenant member, we would love to see you on Sunday, May 23. There is a meal, a time to hear about the direction and beliefs of Highland, and staff will be present. Register for New Member Class HERE
STUDY AT HIGHLAND
 
Study at Highland is tonight from 8pm to midnight in the Fellowship Hall. Free food, caffeine, and Wi-Fi. Optional worship at 10pm in the Chapel. Procrastinate or study with us!
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL UPDATE

VBS Mystery Island for all Kindergarten-5th Grade students is June 14-18, 9:30am-12:15pm. Register HERE

Join the VBS Team! It takes over 70 volunteers for VBS to run. For more information or to sign up to be a volunteer, go HERE
 
CHURCH MATCHING SCHOLARSHIPS

There is a church matching scholarship program for Highland high school students who will be attending Christian colleges with church matching programs. If you have an interest in blessing college students through giving, gifts to “Church Matching Scholarship” are accepted through June 15. Applications for scholarships will also be received through June 15.  For an application or more info, contact Ken-Kilheffer@hbcwaco.org
 
YOUNG ADULT MOVIE NIGHT 

Join us tomorrow, Apr. 30, at AMC Theater for a private showing of Jurassic World. We will meet in front of the theater at 7pm. Free entrance, bring money for extra concession costs. 
STUDENT UPDATES

We will continue to meet on Sunday, at 10am, for Student Connection in our grade specific classes. This Wednesday, May 5, from 6:30-8pm, Braya will lead out in a time of worship and studying the Word! Bring a friend, it is going to be a great night!

BABY DEDICATION SUNDAY

Our next baby dedication will be Sunday, May 9, in both Gatherings. To register and find the information that is due by May 3, click HERE, or contact Amy-Granger@hbcwaco.org
PRETEEN CAMP

"Lost and Found" Preteen camp will be June 28-July 2, at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Camp, for completed 3rd-5th Graders. The cost is $225 per child. Register HERE
LITTLE YEARS
 
Moms of preschoolers: stay tuned in the next few weeks for dates for upcoming play dates and mom's night outs. If you are new to Highland or you're a new mom, email thelittleyears@hbcwaco.org to get connected!
 
30 DAYS OF PRAYER FOR KIDS

These are available at the Kid's check-in table or by emailing Joanie-Swingler@hbcwaco.org for a copy.  You and your children can use this time to pray for Muslims during Ramadan to come to know Jesus and what He did for them.
PINE COVE CITY CAMP

Pine Cove City is coming to Highland July 26-30. We are looking for homes that would be willing to host counselors. If you are interested in being a host home or would like more information please contact Joanie-Swingler@hbcwaco.org 
CHURCH T-SHIRT COLLECTION

Beginning Sunday, May 9 through the end of May, bring any church specific shirts, adult sizes S-XL, to a clearly marked box in the Lobby. These will be given to West Brownsville Baptist, one of our partner churches, as a way to minister to people crossing the border from Mexico. Contact Jamie-Hipp@hbcwaco.org with any questions.  
PRAY FOR OUR NEIGHBORS: RAMADAN 
 
Pray for our Muslim neighbors around the world during Ramadan, which began Apr. 13 and ends May 12. You can find a daily prayer guide at the Go Table in the Lobby or sign up HERE to be emailed daily prayer points. 
A MINISTRY PARTNER OF HIGHLAND | ONE BODY INTERNATIONAL

The mission of OBI in Taiwan is to make followers of Jesus, empower them to walk in their identity as His children, and train them to do the same with others. The vision is to see a discipleship movement, which will permeate the nation of Taiwan and spread from there into all of Asia and the world.
PRAY FOR GLOBAL MINISTRY PARTNERS
 
Pray for our ministry partners, the Danner Family, serving in Taiwan. Though they have seen minimal impact from Covid as compared to the rest of the world, they have still experienced intense protocol and lockdown. Pray for the Danners ongoing pursuit in sharing the Good News and making disciples, as well as for increased family unity.
GO GLOBAL
 
Save the dates for Go Global summer mission nights! We will meet at Highland each Wednesday evening this summer (June 2-July 14) to hear exciting reports of what the Lord is doing at Highland and among the nations. Your worldview and understanding of God's mission will be expanded, challenged, and encouraged.
