2021 Forest Genetics: Student and PostDoc Symposium
May 19-20, 2021

This virtual conference will showcase oral and poster presentations from over 80 forest genetics students and postdocs from across North America and overseas. Keynote speakers are Dr. Nathalie Isabel, Natural Resources Canada, Quebec and Dr. Patrick von Aderkas, UVic Centre for Forest Biology.

Oral presentation sessions are grouped into four themes: Operational Tree Improvement; Population Genetics; Climate Changes and Adaptation; and Forest Health. Each session will consist several pre-recorded videos followed by live Q&As with presenters. Posters will also be accompanied by 2-3 minute videos, and live poster sessions will provide opportunity for engagement. Registrants may view all pre-recorded videos anytime from a few days prior to 90-days after the symposium.

A career panel, break-out sessions, sponsors booths and chat rooms round out the agenda. All persons interested and working in forest genetics are encouraged to attend and support our Next Generation. Registration is only $40 thanks to the generosity of our sponsors. Visit the 2021 Forest Genetics website for details.
