Hi local partners,

“You have to taste a culture to understand it.”
— Deborah Cater

Whatcom County sure has a tasty culture! A reminder for those of us who live here to keep patronizing our incredible local restaurants!

Whatcom's culture of farm to table, local, and sustainable is rooted in a community of folks who grow, distribute, create, and serve! Visit Bellingham | Whatcom County is teaming up with Sustainable Connections to host Sustainable's Spring Mixer! The goal of this event is to foster relationships throughout the farm and foodie spectrum, see more info under Member news below.

Let's keep safe and strong: As of yesterday, our hospitalization rates from COVID-19 were above the threshold determined by the state to remain in Phase 3 here in Whatcom County. We are not moving backward in phases right now because of Governor Inslee's current "freeze" on phase movement—but in two weeks' time we need to have our community safe and our numbers down to keep forward motion.

Please, please, on behalf of all of us who want to see reopening: encourage everyone to use safe behaviors, keep masking and socially distancing, and get vaccinated so we can enjoy the power of travel and its economic recovery.

Cheers,
Eric

Jay Chen – Blu.Ink Real Estate

My approach is simple.

I treat my clients exactly how I'd like to be treated. It really is that simple. I don't like to be pressured, so I never pressure my clients. I like to be treated kindly, so I always bring a positive attitude. I don't let people down with empty promises, so I do exactly what I say. I appreciate it when people answer the phone, so I answer my phone! It sounds dead simple, but I am amazed at how many people simply don't follow these life's simple rules.

Because I approach real estate service this way, my clients and I form a great team from the get-go, and we get the results we want while enjoying the journey. I call my approach Mindfulness in Real Estate, and I believe being mindful and passionate about my work is what sets me apart and sets my clients up for success time and time again.
