Hello ELLSA Community! We hope this newsletter update finds you well. We have some updates for you regarding our final event of the school year; #ELLSAPD is happening next weekend!
Thank you to those of you who participated on Twitter and at local gatherings for the previous #ELLSAPD in March. We are back in May with more #ELLSAPD! Bookmark the date: Saturday, May 8th at 11am (China standard time).
Our theme will be Understanding the difference between language and special needs, focusing on the distinction between students who need language support and students who need special education support.
If possible & safe, get together in person with a group of friends/colleagues to collaborate over a coffee and slice of cheese cake. Or you could try working through the content with colleagues through zoom, or simply catch up with the ideas and Tweets at another time. Whichever method you choose, be sure to tune in.
Thank you to those of you who participated in the Job-Alike last night! This event continues to grow and we are very fortunate to be able to provide this space for us to connect with each other.
We hope to continue hosting the virtual Job-Alikes next school year alongside other opportunities for professional development & building the community!
