This week, the Census Bureau announced how many Congressional seats Florida will have for the next decade. This Reapportionment starts a process of Redistricting that will modify every federal, state and local legislative district. We invite you and your organization to an event that will inform you about the rules and context under which Florida’s Redistricting will occur, and why it is so important to all Floridians.

At 10 AM this Thursday, April 29, LWVPBC will present a one hour Zoom program featuring Ellen Freidin.
Many consider Ms. Freidin to be Florida’s most knowledgeable civic expert on the topic of Congressional and State Legislative Redistricting. She spearheaded passage of constitutional amendments and subsequent court decisions designed to govern the process in our state.

This presentation will afford you the opportunity to consider what is at stake and your potential responses as the process unfolds.
