Please help us improve our services and support Hackney residents.
Dear Hoxton Health Supporter
I hope you are well and looking forward to the bank holiday weekend.
I am writing to see if you could help us as a local charity improve our services and support to Hackney residents with either:
- Your views
- Your time
- Your fundraising power through shopping
Your Views
We are gradually reopening our services and we are keen to open up more days and increase the range of therapies we offer. Please do let us know what you would like to see, and any other comments by clicking here (apologies if you clicked on the link in the last email I hadn't realised that was a non free survey platform).
Your Time
We are looking for people who have used our services to join our management committee.
Hoxton Health is a charity and has a board of trustees over seeing its work. We are seeking people who have used our services, or who have experience in developing health and community services, ideally who are Hackney or City residents.
We are looking for people who are as passionate about tackling health inequalities as we are.
We are particularly interested in recruiting people from Hackneys diverse communities and/ or who people are linked into faith, neighbourhoods, health or older peoples communities who can help us understand how best to serve those communities and spread the word about Hoxton Health.
Please give Jackie a ring on 0207 739 2533 if you are interested . There is more information about our aims and current trustees here.
Your fundraising power through shopping
We want everyone to be able to live as pain free and healthy as possible. This is why we are always fundraising to keep providing subsidised treatments.
We are registered with easyfundraising, which means you can raise FREE donations for us every time you shop online. Over 4,000 shops and sites will donate to us when you use easyfundraising to shop with them – at no extra cost to yourself!
These donations really mount up and make a BIG difference to us, so we’d really appreciate it if you could take a moment to sign up and support us. It’s completely FREE and only takes a moment. 31 people have raised over £1200 for us so far.
You can find our easyfundraising page at https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/hoxtonhealth/?utm_campaign=raise-more&utm_content=gs-e1
If you shop at Amazon could you support our work by making us your charity of choice? https://smile.amazon.co.uk/ch/1127769-0
Thank you for your time - please contact us on 020 7739 2533 if you want any more information

Changes for a Covid Safe Clinic
We are taking every precaution to ensure we are all Covid safe. These are the changes we have had to make.
- Everyone has to come in through the main entrance where you will have your temperature taken.
- You will be given a mask if you haven’t got one of your own – nobody is allowed in the hospital without one unless they are exempt.
- The lift has been completely overhauled and is now (almost) a pleasure to use.
- When you get to the second floor, you will ring the bell as usual and, once you enter, you will be asked to clean your hands.
- Reception has been changed and there is a barrier in place in front of the desk to protect you from close contact with the receptionist.
- We can accept payments by card now, as well as in cash or by cheque.
- We’ve changed the clinic timetable so there will only be one person waiting in Reception at any one time.
- That means that you have to stay downstairs in reception until 5 or 10 minutes before your appointment.
- We have had to close our toilet, so please take this opportunity to use the toilet on the ground floor, which is having extra cleaning, before you come up to us.
- Your practitioner will be ready for you because they have extra time now to clean the room throughly between patients.
- All practitioners will be wearing the PPE that is necessary for them to keep you safe and volunteers and staff will be wearing masks.
- Sadly, we are unable to offer anyone refreshments.
- Because we have to keep everything clean, please don’t bring in any unnecessary bags and we would also ask you to ask any carer to wait in the downstairs reception so we can keep people apart in our small clinic.
Got any questions - please give us a ring on 0207 739 2533
We are really looking forward to seeing you again soon
Jackie and Marie
