Building, Reclaiming, Celebrating

Dear Friends,

This week's newsletter includes opportunities to learn about scaling homes and businesses in the city, expand skills and network alongside peer artists, and be with community--Impact Hub plus our friends at the Black Arts District, Wide Angle Youth Media, and more.

In the spirit of being in community, check out the two latest stories on our Medium. The first shares conversation highlights with Brendan Schreiber, President & Founder of Schreiber Brothers Development and longtime Impact Hub member. You'll also find a collaboration piece with Made In Baltimore on what Mount Royal Soap Company's incredible growth journey can teach us about supporting local businesses. Scroll down for more below!

Supporting Local Makers Beyond a Global Pandemic
Mount Royal Soap Company is a Baltimore-based manufacturer of natural skincare products and a member of Made In Baltimore (MIB), “a strong community of manufacturers, retailers and maker spaces working together to create and promote locally-made products.” MIB is also a partner of Impact Hub Baltimore. Together, we detail Mount Royal Soap Company’s rapid growth and efforts to support frontliners last year, and how more intentional collaborations between Baltimore’s anchor institutions and small businesses can lead to a stronger local economy beyond a global pandemic.
