The Wines You Need to Get

New & Noteworthy Wines, the Latest Video Reviews, Podcasts and more

April 22, 2021 - Vol. 21-03

First, The Wines: This one is a little Chardonnay heavy (3) but there is also something for the red wine lover with a Cabernet Franc and a Cabernet Sauvignon - plus something innovative (for Ontario) and special from De Simone.

The Usual Extras: Four videos and the six articles are linked at the bottom, plus a look back at some podcasts links that might interest you having to do with Vintage 2020 in other parts of Ontario.

Rosé News: The 2021 Rose Report tasting has begun, each newsletter I will highlight those wines that impressed during the last tasting period - below you will see pictures of the four wines that got me thinking summer and warm weather - and that was before the snow flew here in Ontario (it's melting now).

Finally, I have launched a Patreon page in an attempt to keep my content free and mostly advertiser free - I will be adding new things as insentives to my supporters (mostly in the form of unique and exclusive content) so take a look and I really do appreciate any support you can give - you can find it by clicking here

As always, be safe - stay healthy - drink well.

Cheers.

Interesting Quote of the Month ...

Fast forward to today. The 2021-22 federal budget has committed $101 million over two years to Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) for unspecified programs that would “support wineries in adapting to ongoing and emerging challenges, in line with Canada’s trade obligations.”  By coincidence, the program will begin in 2022, mere months prior to the implementation of the excise tax.
