MacEng Insight: April 2021
McMaster Engineering

Some good news - McMaster has moved up three positions to rank 14th globally and third within Canada in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings. I'm proud of our students, faculty and staff who have been committed to working towards the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a major contributor to the University's high ranking.

This past month, the talents of our students were showcased at multiple year-end virtual events. The first-ever Capstone Expo featured over 1000 students from across all departments who presented their final-year projects. First-year students from our new 1P13 course and iBioMed program shared their engineering design projects and students from all faculties presented their real-world solutions to complex problems facing society at the 6th annual MacChangers Showcase.

To see the resilience of our students and future innovators during a difficult time is truly inspiring. I encourage you to see some of their projects in the articles featured below.

Thanks for reading and take care,
