Join us Monday, April 26 at 7:00pm as we commemorate the Anniversary of the Fall of Saigon with ARVN Veterans and Vietnamese Americans who were there!

Dr. Nghi Nguyễn and CW3 (Ret.) Chiều Le have kindly agreed to join us Monday night to share their harrowing stories of war and escape from South Vietnam. Both served in the Army of the Republic of Vietnam, Nghi as a surgeon and Chieu as a helicopter pilot. They have also invited eight other Vietnamese Americans who have stories to share. Please join us for this fascinating program!

Join us Tuesday, April 27 at 7:00pm for our next Greatest Generation Live WWII Roundtable!

We’ll feature Steve Snyder, author of Shot Down: The True Story of Pilot Howard Snyder and the Crew of the B-17 Susan Ruth which breathes life into the events of February 8, 1944, when Steve’s father and nine others were knocked out the sky over Belgium. We’ll discuss the Eighth Air Force, the Air War over Germany, and the experiences of air crews, POWs, and Resistance fighters on the ground.

Glenn Flickinger will also lead a discussion of Rick Atkinson’s fascinating Ten Things You Should Know about the US Army in WWII. Watch or listen to the podcast Atkinson delivered at the Pritzker Military Museum in 2011. You can also read Atkinson’s Ten Things here in preparation for the roundtable conversation.
