PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
“If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.”
- Martin Luther King Jr.

Greetings Laurel Hall Families!

Though, I have used the above quote by Martin Luther King in previous correspondence, I believe it is apropos to revisit his words. Moving forward is not always easy; it is, however, essential. The energy that comes to us from the daily arrival of both “the littles” and the “bigs” is also essential. Whether we fly, walk, or crawl, programs emerge anew, making for a much happier and healthier existence.  In moving forward here are some items of note:

SUMMER CAMP IS BACK
This summer, we are talking a fresh approach to enrichment. Beginning Monday, June 21st we will offer two separate 6-week programs. One program is strictly an enrichment program. It will be overseen by Parker Anderson in partnership with Laurel Hall. The other program will be a sports-specific camp, run by our own stellar LHS athletics department. The summer program will conclude July 30th. There will be no camp on Monday, July 5th.

Parker-Anderson Run Camp
Parker-Anderson, a leader in school enrichment programs since 1986, is a well-established, highly successful company founded by a former Laurel Hall family. This portion of the summer program will include a morning (9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.) and an afternoon (1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.) option. Parker Anderson will also supervise a lunch period between sessions. Families can participate in either morning or afternoon. Families may also choose to participate in a full-day program. Some of the featured academies are, Kids Cooking Academy, Technology and Minecraft, Animal Invasion, Kids Acting Workshop, Lego Robotics, Magic Academy, SteamLab, Ninja Academy, and Jewelry Making to name a few. Parker Anderson will be reaching out to families directly with more information including registration procedure and specific academy descriptions.

LHS Sports Camp
Coach Bridwell, Coach Richter and Coach Bianco, three accomplished former collegiate athletes, will offer 6 one-week sports specific academies. These sessions are morning only (9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.). The first week will focus on flag football. This will be followed by Track and Field (week 2), Basketball (week 3), Soccer (week 4), baseball (week 5) and Exploratory Games (week 6). Registration information will come to you directly from Coach Bridwell.

LHS CHEERLEADING IS RETURNING
From Coach Dominique - LHS Cheer is back! We will be holding a cheer clinic on Friday May 14th from 3:30-5:00. LHS Cheer is opened to incoming 4th, 5th, and Middle School students. If you plan to join Elementary JV cheer Squad (grades 4 and 5) or, the Middle School Varsity Squad (grades 6, 7, and 8) you are encouraged to come to the clinic. All girls and boys are welcome to join the program. If you are passionate about cheer and dance, and you would like to represent Laurel Hall in the best possible way, then come and grab some Pom Pom’s and cheer! To sign up please email Coach Dom at dnapolitano@laurelhall.com. Go Hornets!

Though we may take a more circuitous route than usual, we continue to move forward to accomplish our goal of offering the best for (and of) our Laurel Hall Family.

Best,
Jay

LAUREL HALL ONGOING FUNDRAISERS

Three ways that you can support Laurel Hall during the school year, are by (1) linking your Ralph's card to Laurel Hall, (2) designating our school as your charity on Goodsearch, and (3) scanning your grocery receipts with the Box Tops app.

To benefit Laurel Hall, shoppers need a digital account that can be linked to the Ralph's Community Contribution program. Go here to set up your digital account. If you already have an online account with Ralph's, you can log in and then choose Laurel Hall as your designated Community Contribution school.

Our school receives funds for every search made through the site, so why not use it as your search engine? You can sign up for Goodsearch here. Be sure to designate Laurel Hall School as your charity.
