We're gearing up for National Asthma and Allergy Awareness Month in May! This year's theme focuses on busting myths about asthma and allergies. We have a lot planned for May, but here are some ways you can get started now:
Another way you can start raising awareness is by creating a Facebook fundraiser to benefit AAFA in honor of National Asthma and Allergy Awareness Month. Or you can make a secure online donation directly to AAFA. Your generosity helps us raise awareness about asthma and allergies, advocate for public policies that help protect people with asthma and allergies, and help teach people to prevent emergencies.

An educational resource sponsored by Merck
We are proud to partner with Merck and the American Lung Association to introduce The Cough Chronicles, a resource that provides support to people who may have chronic cough through educational information. Chronic cough in adults is a cough that lasts longer than 8 weeks. People with chronic cough commonly cough in “bouts” they cannot control. They usually feel a strong urge to cough before a coughing bout starts. The condition may have a physical, social and emotional impact.
In addition, joining The Chronic Cough Support Community allows you to connect with people who may have chronic cough and who may share similar experiences. There may be others, like you, who are looking for the opportunity to hear from individuals impacted by the condition.
The program is a partnership between AAFA, the American Lung Association and Merck to support the chronic cough community.
