What about my steam-powered appliance?
For decades, UC Davis has relied on steam to heat our buildings, but it’s not the only purpose steam has served. Steam sterilizers, dryers and dishwashers on campus have utilized the steam from our heating system to operate.
As the Big Shift facilitates the switch to hot water heating, part of the project is providing solutions to these steam-based appliances.
