Welcome
Sunday 25 April our valuable lifesavers will complete their last patrol for season 20-21 and the red and yellow clothing will be packed away to end out a very successful season for the club.
The difficulties and changes endured of COVID has not once altered the enthusiasm and commitment of our volunteers and to each and everyone of you we say thank you for a job well done.

Our Lifesaving Services committee are to be commended for the season and due recognition of our lifesavers will be applauded at the upcoming Presentation on Saturday May 8.
As we prepare this newsletter, the 2021 Aussies are drawing to an end and will conclude on Saturday 24 April.
We must give a huge shout out and acknowledgement to our Carnival Officials - Marcelo Garay, Bob Byrne and Peter ‘ Dino’ Steenson, who have once again done a sterling job in volunteering to officiate at the Aussies. Marcelo has done the long haul from Youth through to Opens - great job guys and thank you. Our fearless leader President Paul ‘Stretch’ Fownes and Shane White have been amazing in managing the touring group.

Wow what a campaign South Maroubra has had in 2021 with representation at youth, masters and open competition spread over the beautiful sunshine coast beaches.

Reminder that this Sunday 25, from 1pm we will be cleaning up and packing away equipment for the season.
If you have some time to spare, please pop down to club and see Ken Hudson and Paul Ryan who will point you in the right direction to lend a hand. BBQ will be on offer for our helpers.

We have wrapped up our lifesaving education squads for the season.
It’s been a massive season having trained 120 new lifesavers, plus a number of higher awards. A huge thank you to our training team who have also rolled out the new Bronze and SRC courses and who have produced some amazing lifesavers.
Welcome to the club to our new awardees, we can’t wait to see you on the beach!

South Maroubra SLSC joined the flood rescue effort in Western Sydney.
