The Skill Mill Secures Double Royal Seal of Approval

The Skill Mill was one of only five organisations across the UK to win a double prize in the latest Queen's Awards, claiming recognition in the ‘Sustainable Development’ and ‘Promoting Opportunity (through social mobility)’ categories.

It is especially gratifying achieving this recognition from HRH Queen Elizabeth II during such an awful past 12 months. The Skill Mill has shown great resilience and bounced back creating more jobs and opportunities for young people than ever before.

The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are the most prestigious awards for UK business, celebrating the outstanding achievements of organisations across the UK.

Sue Winfield OBE, the Lord Lieutenant for Tyne & Wear, said: “I want to congratulate those businesses in Tyne & Wear for their success in receiving the Queen’s Award for Enterprise. I am delighted for them and it is great recognition for their work. I am particularly pleased to see The Skill Mill receive two awards”.
