We like to be cared for and we like to care... it's a human instinct.
When that is not possible and we have to place the care of our loved ones into the hands of others... into the hands of another shepherd... that can be challenging.
We do that though in faith, hope, understanding and with love, and with trust in the Good Shepherd of us all.
This week, be that shepherd for somone, as you live the example of The Good Shepherd.

Fourth Sunday of Easter
Good Shepherd Sunday
The image of the Good Shepherd is profoundly reassuring.
It evokes a tremendous feeling of being cared for—the consolation of faith.
Even in these difficult days, we need such reassurance.
At the same time, the metaphor is used in a dissonant way: no regular shepherd, however caring, gives his life for his sheep! Cosy familiarity can dull the sense of shock: what is going on here? The gentle pastoral language suddenly gives way to sacrifice, as the shepherd becomes the lamb of God.
Prayer
Jesus our shepherd, we know your care for us was costly as you laid down your life and took it up again. Help us to know again “the great events that gave us new life” in you, that we may hear you and follow you in all we do.

First Holy Communion Candidates and their Families
This week watch out for a new video series called Come To The Table of The Lord.
In this three part series, Eleanor and Johanna along with Fr. Chris help children prepare to celebrate Reconciliation and Holy Communion for the first time. I twill be issued on Thursday 29th April.

We are grateful to all those who have contributed to the Easter Offering.
For anyone wishing to make a donation, this can be made by post; phoning the office to make an offering over the phone or by making a contribution online through the Greystones or Kilquade Paypal pages on the websites.
Envelopes are available in all of the Churches.

Contributions to the First and Second Collections and the Parish Planned Giving funds, no matter what that is, facilitate the continuation of initiatives both locally and within the Diocese.
For anyone wishing to make a donation, this can be made
- by post;
- by phone to the office or
- through the Greystones or Kilquade Websites.
- by clicking on the appropriate button below where online donations are welcome using a credit/debit card or though the Paypal facility.
Envelopes may be left under the sacristy door of the Churches. Alternatively they may be dropped to the Pastoral Area Office in Kilian House Family Centre.
There is a letterbox in the white door to Kilian House at the back, just off the rear carpark.
We continue to be incredibly grateful for all donations and for your continued support.

Due to the current restrictions, the office is closed to the public until further notice. You may leave a message on the answer machine as calls will be answered daily.

At the moment there are two ways of sharing your prayer: Send a prayer via here where it will be brought into Night prayer or come along to Night Prayer - where prayers spoken and unspoken are welcome in community.

Please join us for the online Dublin Diocesan Pilgrimage to the International Eucharistic and Marian Shrine at Knock will take place this Saturday April 24th.

YOUTH PROGRAMME
Saturday, 24th April, 12noon - 2pm, via Zoom.
This will be a great interactive session for teenagers from across our Diocese to experience pilgrimage together through workshops, small group discussions, fun and prayer.

Fr William Stuart in Syria - An exciting new project
One of the outreach projects we, in the Pastoral area support,
is Fr. William Stuart in Syria.
He been given extra space to rent and has the possibility of doubling the number of kindergarden classes. His plan is to have a facility where they can provide education and a meal for 100 children from the camps.
This project will amount to €33,500 per year which is about €335 per pupil per year.
