- The Town Council held their regular meeting Monday evening. There were several development applications on the agenda. Many of the items were scrutinized heavily by staff prior to the meeting allowing the Council to take action with little discussion. Town Staff is working hard to convey Council concerns at the beginning of the application process which results in more complete applications coming before the Planning and Zoning Commission and Town Council. The status of the applications can be viewed under the Development Applications section of this newsletter.
- The Town returned comments to the City of Krugerville on the proposed NEPD Interlocal agreement for their review at their April 23rd meeting. The Town is currently awaiting comments from the City of Krugerville. Cross Roads continues to work on two parallel paths at this time. One being negotiations with Krugerville on an Interlocal Agreement that both cities accept, the other being initial planning of creating a Cross Roads Police Department to ensure there is no lapse in police services.
- The Town Council will start hybrid meetings beginning on May 3rd. There will be the option to attend via Zoom or in-person while wearing masks and socially distancing.
- Tommorrow is the Spring Clean-Up event. Beginning 7am on Saturday, April 24th the Parks and Recreation Board will be hosting the annual Spring Clean-Up event at the Park. Bring your papers for shredding and computers for crushing. Roadside Cleanup Volunteers will meet at 8:30am at Town Hall. Newman Style BBQ will be serving from their food truck 11am-2pm. More details available soon on the Parks and Recreation Board's Facebook page.
