Eric Martin Chazen, MD (1931-2021)
Dr. Eric Chazen, a renowned pediatrician who served patients and families in Nashville for more than 40 years, passed away this week at the age of 89. He was a founder of Green Hills Pediatric Associates in Nashville and served as CPF's Board President from 2000 to 2002. His obituary, which is linked below, asked that "in his memory, please be kind, be generous, and hug those you love." CPF extends its well wishes to his family and a heartfelt thanks for a life well lived.

Shilpa Reddy, MD, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Neurology, Vanderbilt University Medical Center, will be leading a CME presentation for CPF members on Monday, May 17 at 6 PM discussing treatments in pediatric epilepsy, with topics including intractable (drug-resistant) epilepsy, classifying different types of epilepsy and epilepsy syndromes, non-medication treatment options, and when to refer to a comprehensive epilepsy center.
Presentation is approved for CME and MOC Part 2 credit for live attendees.

Dr. Celeste Hemingway, Assistant Professor in Vanderbilt University Medical Center's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, led a webinar presentation earlier this monthproviding an update on the Adolescent GYN landscape and discussing how pediatricians can best provide guidance to patients on families on LMPs and IUDs.

~ CPF 2021 Virtual Annual Meeting! ~

CPF will be holding its Annual Meeting for the full membership - Vanderbilt pediatric faculty, fellows, residents, and community pediatricians and providers - on Tuesday, May 4 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM in the virtual format. We've got an entertaining program planned for the evening that will feature:

This year, CPF's Annual Pediatric Administration Meeting (PAM) - the education portion of the Annual Meeting - is being held as a monthly education series from March to June with topics geared toward helping practices and providers in their management and operational decisions.
