Check out the flyer posted in this email about a trash clean-up event happening this Sunday in downtown Farmington. As more and more people become fully vaccinated I'm so excited to reconnect with you all soon.
On my mind this week:
-We learned of the guilty verdict in the Derek Chauvin murder case. A sigh of relief, but with George Floyd still gone and more black men and women being murdered by police every week (not to mention missing and murdered Indigenous women), we know that most of the work lies ahead.
-I don't quite understand why there is such a serious covid surge in Michigan right now.
-The Public Utility Commission, which advises the Farmington Electric Utility System, has a vacant position in a district in the Aztec area, along 550 towards Durango. I wonder if someone wants to apply.
-San Juan Dems had a phonebank for Melanie Stansbury this week-- it was very productive! Many people in the ABQ area aren't aware that there is a congressional race happening. Join our phonebank this week!
