Google’s support for Wi-Fi in public gathering places began in 2012 with the installation of internet access at Marion Square downtown.
Since 2009, Google has gifted more than $2 million to non-profit organizations and schools in SC. The company has also donated $450,000+ for free Wi-Fi networks in Goose Creek, Moncks Corner, Summerville, Cypress Gardens, Waterfront Park, and White Point Garden.
